Nexium (Esomeprazole) offers heartburn relief caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).This is a condition in which backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn and injury of the esophagus.

 

Generic Nexium (Esomeprazole) is used to treat conditions of excessive acid in the stomach. It is used to treat gastric ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, erosive esophagitis (damage to your esophagus caused by stomach acid), and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Esomeprazole can also be used along with antibiotics to treat infectious ulcers caused by the H. pylori bacteria.
